A book that had promise but never quite reached it. The vampire hero, Caleb was sent to investigate his cousin vampire going all psycho and meet Abby, an amnesiac singing in a bar. We find out later he was actually sent for her as she witnessed something so bad it made her loose her memory. That part of the story line just was not written clearly, we find out toward the end what happened and then sympathise with the bad guy, and then it just kind of ended. I know it was a short story but they should have cut down the pages of the love scenes to make the short story make a little more sense.Product details

I am not sure what the issue was but for some reaosn I just did not connect with Abby. It is a good read and I enjoyed it but it was one of those books that left you wanting more from the characters which it could have just been me. I may attempt to read it agian at a later date but I felt that the characters could have been "more" if that makes sense. I enjoyed Cabel very much but for some reason I felt that Abby was missing something for me.
I read a lot of ebooks and poor editing is not uncommon. However this book was ruined by the worst editing and formatting I have seen. Whole sentances appear to be missing. This broke the reader out of the story on almost every page. I did enjoy parts of the story I could read. I truely hope the author will revise this book and rerelease it. It does have alot of potential. In its current form it is not worth your time or money.
I loved this book! It was a fast paced read and once I started I could not put it down. A sexy vampire/cowboy who rides a motorcycle and is very alpha/dom. I highly recommend this book and this author!
This was not a novel but a novella. My review can't be too long or give everything away. I liked it. I would have liked it better if it was a full novel. I enjoyed the way the author got around having to give background. Abby has amnesia. The adventure part of the story was good. I wanted more. The romance/sex scenes were good. I wished there were less. Cowboy vampire - what's not to like?
I really like this book. I will definitely try the other books by this author. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
"Vampire Awakening" contains a decent story, but it's overwhelmed by many grammatical mistakes and misspellings (ascent vs. assent, into vs. in to, and whisp vs. wisp, for just a few examples). Much of the writing is awkward and forced me to pause in order to attempt to ascertain the author's meaning. In addition, there are more than a dozen instances of whole sentences that are chopped off and just end with an ampersand.
The story is summed up in my review title. I would have rated it a three, but the amount and variety of errors made that impossible. There is a bit of a twist at the end that I did not see coming, and I appreciated that. The sex scenes had potential, but are marred by the awkward writing overall. With some simple editing, this book could improve.
Very erotic, suspenseful, passion. OK, not a literary piece but who cares as it was hot, hot, hot. Nice story line, plenty of sex, suspense. I was so disappointed when I finished it as I wanted it to continue. Excellent. A definite read if you like vampire romances.
